Dewsbury Rams have confirmed that their former player Will Forsyth has sadly passed away aged 24, following a battle with cancer.
Forsyth made two appearances for the club in the 2015 Challenge Cup, firstly in a 28-18 win over Newcastle Thunder, then in the quarter-final defeat to Warrington.
A versatile outside back, he was also part of the Rams’ reserves side who won the Reserves Championship Trophy in 2015, and had spells with Bradford’s academy and Hemel Stags.

Jonathan Schofield, Dewsbury’s reserves coach at the time, told the club’s official website: “Will played a big part in the team. He went about his business in a quiet way and was always professional.
“Will was a good lad to coach and he had the respect of us all, especially his team mates.
“He was great to have around the dressing room and he will be sadly missed by everyone.”
