Former Castleford winger searching for new English club

Castleford Tigers Jy Hitchcox is tackled by Widnes Vikings Stefan Marsh during the Betfred Super League Round 2 game between Castleford Tigers and Widnes Vikings on Sunday 11th Feb 2018 at the Jungle Stadium

Jy Hitchcox has taken to Twitter to declare his intention to find an English club to join after spending the last two seasons with Toulouse Olympique in the south of France.

The flying winger spent time at Championship side Featherstone Rovers before joining Castleford Tigers in the Super League, where he made a name for himself as one of the greatest finishers in the game.

Loan spells at Batley Bulldogs and Halifax followed before a loan to Bradford Bulls was made permanent ahead of the 2019 season.

A full season was spent at Odsal until Hitchcox went to the south of France to join Toulouse where he has been a consistent star in the club’s bid to reach the top flight.

Hitchcox scored 23 tries in 30 appearances for Castleford over a period of three seasons, helping the club to the League Leaders’ Shield in 2017 and playing in the Grand Final that year at Old Trafford.
