Former Castleford Tigers winger Jy Hitchcox finds new club

Jy Hitchcox has found a new club, but it will not be in Yorkshire.
That means that the former Castleford Tigers and Featherstone Rovers winger will leave the county for the first time in his career, though the destination will not be announced until Wednesday, Serious About Rugby League can exclusively reveal.
Hitchcox has spent the past two seasons down in the south of France for Toulouse Olympique, but, on the back of their promotion to Super League following an emphatic 34-12 over nearest rivals Featherstone Rovers, the flying winger revealed he would no longer be a Toulouse player.
The flying winger spent time at Championship side Featherstone Rovers before joining Castleford Tigers in the Super League, where he made a name for himself as one of the greatest finishers in the game.
Loan spells at Batley Bulldogs and Halifax followed before a loan to Bradford Bulls was made permanent ahead of the 2019 season.
A full season was spent at Odsal until Hitchcox went to the south of France to join Toulouse where he has been a consistent star in the club’s bid to reach the top flight.
Hitchcox scored 23 tries in 30 appearances for Castleford over a period of three seasons, helping the club to the League Leaders’ Shield in 2017 and playing in the Grand Final that year at Old Trafford.
