Footage of bull’s rampage on Super League field reaches amazing viewing milestone

There is always a debate about what rugby league needs to take the next step.

Little did we know that the sport was only missing a bull.

The focus is often about growing the game, well Friday night’s bizarre incident with a bull running onto a Super League pitch might have done that better than anyone else.

The bulls were being paraded around the pitch at the Stade Gilbert Brutus because Catalans Dragons owner Bernard Guasch is Head of the Catalans Cattle Breeder Association.

However, as the French side geared up for a huge game against Super League and World Club Champions St Helens, one bull dragged its handler onto the field forcing players to abandon their warm ups.

The story has reached the Irish Independent and of course Fox Sports in Australia but more amazingly it has reached India and America now.

The story was featured in Indian publication India Today though the incorrect claim was made that a player had been dragged off the field by the bull.

Meanwhile, American outlet ABC News alongside ESPN.

Rugby league, especially the NRL, has always been keen on breaking the American market.

There have been talks about getting The Rock involved to get the USA interested but who needs the Brama Bull when a normal bull can do the job just fine.

We have seen the Toronto Wolfpack experiment fail, a Denver Test unable to get things going and now an NRL game in Vegas is a possibility but this bull is doing a better job than anyone else.

As the incident continues to reach across the world, Sky Sports’ clip which was shared on Twitter has now reached an amazing milestone of 2 million views.

Who knew that this was what IMG and Super League needed to grow the game?
