Flower loses appeal

Wigan Warriors forward Ben Flower has lost his appeal against a two-match suspension for Dangerous Contact.

The Welsh international was given the penalty notice after a tackle on Hull KR forward George Lawler during the Warriors’ defeat against the Robins.

He will now miss the Warriors’ next two matches against Catalans Dragons, and their Challenge Cup Quarter Final against either Castleford or Hull.

Flower was also fined £500.

Elsewhere, Ligi Sao also accepted a one-match ban for Dangerous Contact.
