Flower given two-match ban

Wigan Warriors forward Ben Flower has been given a two-match penalty notice after being charged with Dangerous Contact.

The tackle on George Lawler went unpunished at the time, but had been referred to the panel.

He will now miss their games against Catalans Dragons and their Challenge Cup tie a week later.

Elsewhere, Ligi Sao has been given a one-match penalty notice, after a crusher tackle on Dec Patton.

In the same incident, Patton was accused of biting Sao, and was placed on report. This has been referred for further investigation by the panel.

St Helens forward James Bentley escaped a ban, despite being charged with Dangerous Contact.
