Five Super League legend who would have excelled in the NRL

With the NRL often signing on top English stars and with the NRL’s increased salary cap set to help them sign more in the future, here are five Super League legends who would have excelled in the NRL.

Danny McGuire
In 2006, Danny McGuire’s former teammate Matt Adamson tried to tempt McGuire to Canberra Raiders. Super League’s all time leading try scorer would have been brilliant in the NRL due to his eye for a chance and his ability to manage a game as well.

Sean O’Loughlin
A battling loose-forward with a great skill level too. He would have more than held his own down under and would have offered a touch of class as well.

Jamie Peacock
Super League’s most successful ever player, if the success of no nonsense forwards like James Graham and Sam Burgess, the brilliant Peacock would have had similar success down under especially with the way he always caused Australia problems in international games.

Paul Sculthorpe
Like O’Loughlin, Sculthorpe was a physical force with plenty of skill too. He is one of the greatest players in Super League history and would have been a huge success in the NRL.

Leon Pryce
Leon’s son Will is headed to the NRL in 2024. A similar player to his father, it underlines why the attacking weapon that was Leon Pryce would have made an exciting NRL star especially because of his versatility.
