Five coaches who could take on a Super League job in 2023

Unfortunately, in almost every Super League season there are coaching casualties.

Whenever this happens, it is an opportunity for someone else to have a crack.

So here are five coaches we could see in Super League next year.

Eddie Jones
The former England rugby union boss Eddie Jones has been open to a move to rugby league. Jones has been mostly focused on the NRL but Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves have both been interested in the past. A Super League club could make a move for him if they needed a new coach.

Brett Hodgson
The ex-Hull FC boss did a lot of good at the MKM Stadium and it would not be a surprise to see the former Man of Steel in Super League soon. Especially as his future in the England rugby union set up seems unsure with Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield set to replace him as Defence Coach.

Danny Ward
The former Leeds Rhinos Grand Final winner did a brilliant job getting London Broncos into Super League and was so close to keeping them in the division in 2019. Ward is currently in rugby union as well but a Super League club could tempt him.

Danny McGuire
Danny McGuire was linked with both the Leeds and Hull KR jobs last year and did well with the interim Hull KR job. Should a Super League job open up in 2023, they could make a move for McGuire.

Willie Poching
The former Wakefield Trinity boss showed his quality in his time at Belle Vue. He would make any side a great coach in Super League should they want to change direction mid season.
