First round of Super League fixtures announced – with two new head coaches set to go head-to-head

The first round of Super League fixtures have been announced with a Grand Final replay warming the cockles in early February.

St Helens will take on the Catalans Dragons on Thursday February 10 – when the sides last met back in October, Saints reigned supreme in a nailbiting 12-10 affair.

Hull KR, meanwhile, will host Wigan Warriors who have new boss Matty Peet at the helm following the departure of Adrian Lam.

Leeds Rhinos host Warrington Wolves on Saturday with that fixture being the first-ever to take place live on Channel 4 after the major broadcasting company earned the rights to ten games in 2022 – including two play-off fixtures.

New Castleford Tigers head coach Lee Radford will be thrust into action at the Jungle for the Tigers’ first home game against Salford Red Devils and their newly-appointed boss Paul Rowley.

Toulouse begin their first season in Super League at home to Huddersfield Giants, whilst Wakefield Trinity and Hull FC round off the first weekend as Willie Poching looks to get one over on Brett Hodgson.

The full fixture list will be announced tomorrow morning.
