Although the 2019 NRL season has ended less then a month ago, the first two games of the 2020 have been revealed.
These two season openers will be played out at the NRL’s two newest stadiums.
The season will kick-off with the Parramatta Eels taking on traditional rivals the Canterbury-Bankstwon Bulldogs at BankWest Stadium on a Thursday night.
The second game will take place the very next night.
This game will see the North Queensland Cowboys host arch rivals the Brisbane Broncos, which will also be the grand opener at the Cowboys’ new home ground Townsville Stadium.
The specific dates of these fixtures are yet to be released, however expect them to take place in early to mid march.
