Featherstone v Hull FC: 21-man squads, injury update and TV details

Featherstone and Hull FC have both announced their 21-man squads for Saturday afternoon’s Challenge Cup Third Round fixture at the Millennium Stadium (KO 7:00pm).

The last time the two sides met in the competition it turned out to be a feisty affair, with six sin-binnings and a sending off as the Black and Whites claimed a 38-20 win despite ending the game with just nine players.

Rovers have enjoyed an unbeaten start to their season, beating Bradford and Batley in the first two rounds of the Cup before notching a second win over the Bulldogs in the Championship.

FC are also yet to taste defeat, with comfortable victories over Huddersfield and Salford serving as quite the statement of intent for this season.

The game will be available to watch via the Our League app for the earlybird price of £4.95, before increasing to £10.00 on matchday.

Featherstone Rovers

Former Castleford and Huddersfield stand-off Tom Holmes has recovered from a minor knock and will be competing with Dane Chisholm and off-season recruit Fa’amanu Brown for a spot in the halves. Experienced trio Craig Kopczak, James Lockwood and John Davies come out of the side, while Thomas Minns is unavailable due to Covid-19 protocols. Former Leeds Rhinos youngsters Harvey Spence, Loui McConnell and Liam Whitton are all included.

Hull FC

FC will be without star signing Josh Reynolds for six weeks after the stand-off picked up a hamstring injury against Salford. Ligi Sao also sustained an ankle knock and is unavailable this weekend. Marc Sneyd, meanwhile, has shrugged off the leg injury that forced him off last week, while Josh Bowden and Jack Brown are back in contention after recovering from concussion and ankle problems respectievly. Masi Matongo (knee) and Jamie Shaul (ACL) are still out injured.
