Featherstone Rovers have hit back at Scott Murrell after the latter had criticised the facilities at the Millennium Stadium.
Murrell had previously stated on Twitter “Better lighting in my garden”, which was aimed at Featherstone’s home semi-final play-off against Halifax Panthers played under floodlights.
Rovers, however, trolled back in fantastic fashion, “Turning the spotlight on our boy @JakeSweeting7’s touchline conversion yesterday. Was that bright enough for you @scottmurrell85? At least you’ll have time to spend in your garden next weekend.”
There’s been no love lost between Featherstone and Murrell in recent seasons, with the latter playing a good chunk of his career at The Shay with Halifax.
Murrell lost his own semi-final play-off with Keighley Cougars yesterday as Doncaster’s Jake Sweeting – who is ironically on-loan from Featherstone – kicking the winning touchline conversion to send the Dons into the League 1 play-off final.
