Featherstone Rovers reveal striking away shirt for 2023 as they push for Super League promotion

Featherstone have launched a fantastic away shirt for the 2023 season.

After releasing a superb home shirt which was well praised by the rugby league community for its simple, sleek yet eye catching design which mixed tradition with modernity, the Rovers have launched their superb new away shirt for 2023 this morning under the tag line “rise in red.”

The shirt is very similar to their 2017 away shirt with a red base with a dark shade of blue across the chest in a striking look.

The Rovers are gearing up for another shot at Super League promotion in 2023.

The Flatcappers have never played in Super League before but have always been just on the outside of the top competition.

After coming up just short in 2021 and 2022, the Rovers are ready to give it another go in 2023 under new boss Sean Long.

The former St Helens, Hull FC and Wigan Warriors halfback has plenty of experience working as an assistant even working with Fev in 2013.

He most recently spent time working with the Leeds Rhinos as assistant to Richard Agar and then Rohan Smith.

He replaces Super League’s most successful coach Brian McDermott at the helm at Post Office Road hoping to deliver Super League rugby to the Rovers in 2023.

He has made a splash already with some top signings including Salford Red Devils star Elijah Taylor, former Wigan Warriors centre Chris Hankinson and Catalans Dragons prop Mathieu Cozza.

Taylor will be very comfortable in this new shirt with it being red.

The club is set to confirm another signing tonight.
