Dane Chisholm will play for Featherstone Rovers against Toulouse Olympique this weekend for a place in Super League.
But, amongst those opponents is his best friend Jy Hitchcox – who recently stated he was searching for a club back in the UK following visa issues in France.
And, Chisholm is ever so keen in playing alongside the flying winger once more, after spells together at schools level as well as Wests Tigers.
“We went to school together and we are godparents to each other’s children, so it would be awesome to finish up and play together,” Chisholm said.
“I might have to talk with Martin (Vickers – Featherstone’s CEO) after this to see if we can get him back here!”
The Featherstone halfback made it known that he wanted to get to Super League with Rovers – despite having offers from elsewhere in the top flight.
“I’d get to have another crack at Super League with my best mates.
“I could sign at another Super League club but it wouldn’t feel the same.”
