Attention returns to the Betfred Challenge Cup this week with a number of mouthwatering ties awaiting expectant supporters.
For one set of fans, however, it has been a tough time in trying to get some kind of coverage for their team.
Featherstone Rovers will travel to the south of France to take on Catalans Dragons on Saturday afternoon.
The club released this statement in a bid to ensure all fans can watch the game: “The club understands that travel to France with less than two weeks notice is not possible for many supporters. With that in mind the club have organised a screening of the game to be shown at our local partner club; Featherstone Lions. The game will be shown on a big screen in the Lions’ indoor training facility as well as in the clubhouse.
“The event looks set to be a superb afternoon out as the Lions will also play host to Hull Dockers in the NCL.
Rovers CEO, Martin Vickers said: “We’re really pleased to be able to offer this option for our loyal supporters, many of whom will have been as frustrated as I was with the draw.
“In doing this we’re also delivering on our promise to bring the Lions and the Rovers closer together.
“The event is being put together at considerable cost to the cost to us, we hope this benefits the Lions and that the Blue Wall show their support as they always do.”
