Featherstone capture former Tigers forward

Featherstone Rovers have announced the signing of Samoan international prop Junior Moors.

The 34-year-old joins Rovers as a free agent after spending six seasons in Super League with local-rivals Castleford Tigers – where he tallied 114 appearances for the Tigers, scoring 18 tries.

Following his move to England in 2015, Moors showed outstanding form and was named Castleford’s Fans’ Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, and 1st Place Player of the Year during the 2016 season.

The following year he helped drive the Tigers to the 2017 League Leaders’ Shield and Super League Grand Final, he was rewarded for his contributions with a new deal that expired after the 2020 season.

Speaking on the move, Rovers Head Coach James Webster said: “Junior is a significant signing for the club. He brings a vast degree of experience from stints within the NRL and Super League.

His ability to mix his game up between power and skill adds another dimension to our already strong pack.
