The odds are flying in fast ahead of the 2022 Super League season.

It’s already been established that St Helens are the favourites to retain their Super League title once more in 2022 – and who can really blame bookmakers after three Grand Final successes in a row.

But, at the other end of the table, there will be a dogfight to escape relegation with newly promoted Toulouse Olympique hoping to spring a few surprises in a bid to stay in the top flight.

The French side are, however, favourites to face the drop with odds at 4/5 from Super League sponsor Betfred.

Wakefield Trinity are the next in the list at 7/2 with 2019 Grand Finalists Salford Red Devils at 10/3.

Last year’s play-off semi-finalists Hull KR are next at 12/1 with Huddersfield Giants – who have been tipped to do much better in 2022 under Ian Watson – at 14/1.

Obviously, St Helens are another world away, with odds of 500/1.
