Fans react to Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow’s appearance on CBeebies

Last night there wasn’t any rugby on but there was certainly something special to watch involving a rugby league legend in the shape of Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow.

Burrow has been fighting Motor Neurone Disease since he was diagnosed in December 2019.

He sadly can no longer use his speech muscles but that didn’t stop him from reading a bedtime story on CBeebies last night using his eye gaze.

It has prompted a lot of love for the former Leeds number seven with one parent revealing their children had watched it 10 times.

Others described it as “wonderful.”

Others meanwhile described him as an inspiration.

It was also stated that it was “valuable” to see for the young viewers.

Naturally some described him as “a legend.”

Some said it was “joyous” to see him on the channel.

It had some people in tears.

The best tweet perhaps came from Burrow’s father Geoff, a “proud” moment for him.
