Supporters have reacted furiously to the latest round of Man of Steel points.
This season sees a new Man of Steel panel consisting of 21 former players and coaches, with one panel member assigned to a game each game and tasked with awarding points to the three outstanding performers.
The scores will be made public every week, until Round 22 in mid-July. After that, the poll will be hidden until the Awards Ceremony in October.
On the whole the new format has received positive feedback, however this Monday’s scores have left many questioning the system going forward.
Jake Connor’s excellent display at Castleford on Thursday failed to be recognised with even a single point, a decision which left Hull fans scathing.
Wigan supporters were also not best pleased as two Leeds players, Trent Merrin and Brad Dwyer, were named in the top three despite their win at Headingley.
Then followers of St Helens were angered by Lachlan Coote’s omission, the full-back scored one try and assisted four but failed to make the top three.
How does Coote not get any points, what does he have to do??

how on Earth did Jake Connor get nothing ridiculous making a farce out of the scoring

Which ex Leeds player picked them 😲

I’m not being funny but Lachlan Coote dominates virtually every game he plays in and never gets the points he should. The “legends” that pick these are so wrong

You're embarrassing yourselves now
In principle the system you have is good but to many free drinks I think
Connor ZERO points? Really

Nothing for coote nothing for Connor these points are a joke. Cootes been the best player all year Austin's great when wire are winning but goes AWOL when it gets tough. His 3 points the week before last was an absolute shambles.

They took this award away from the players coz of the farcical way they voted and gave it to so called experts…Coote 4 assists, 1 try, 5 goals = No Points 🤷♂️ 🙈

Hahaha Wigan beat Leeds and two Leeds players score points. One gets three points for scoring a try 😂😂😂it's total shite

Shambles. Lost all credibility.
Thompson only featured for half a game, as good as he was.
