Fans give verdict on if Leeds Rhinos will make Super League play-offs

Leeds Rhinos Brad Arthur

Leeds Rhinos hammered Hull FC and that victory has helped keep their play-off hopes alive despite the club currently sitting outside the top six.

After their 68-6 win over Hull FC, Leeds Rhinos sit seventh which sees them level on points with sixth-place St Helens, one shy of Leigh Leopards and two points behind Salford Red Devils.

With fixtures on the road against Super League’s top two of Wigan Warriors and Hull KR, it’s an incredibly tough task for the Rhinos but one win could be enough if results around them go their way.

Since Brad Arthur’s arrival at the club, the Rhinos have won five of their eight games with their three losses all coming against teams currently in the top four of Super League.

They’ve managed to win one and lose one against their upcoming two opponents and should they replicate that, they’d reach the magic 30-point tally which has been enough to make the play-offs in each of the last two seasons.

However, that might not be the case this year and fans have had their say on whether they think Leeds Rhinos will return to the play-offs for the first time since their 2022 Grand Final appearance.

Will Leeds Rhinos make the play-offs?

Serious About Rugby League asked fans if they thought Brad Arthur could get Leeds Rhinos into the play-offs and fans were not too optimistic.

Holly Garczynski said: “Can the actual players get us there?”

Brian Miles assessed: “Just one more win ‘might’ get us in top six but with 2 away games at the top two teams who are both still vying for the ‘hub cap’ it’s very very unlikely.”

Rich Saunders said: “Think we’ll be a couple of points short, but some effort though considering where we were.”

Andy Ed added: “Think Leeds are as high as they’ll get. Can’t see them picking up any more points with the games they have left.”

Others were more optimistic though.

“We have got every chance,” argued David Emmett.

Pete Mitchell was even more confident: “We’ll make it to the playoffs but we won’t make it to Old Trafford we’d prob most likely eliminated in Semi. Then again I said this when Rohan Smith took charge and look at what he had done.”

Aroni Senior was positive as well: “I think we will make it on our day we can beat anyone up the rhinos.”

It would be some turnaround if Brad Arthur can guide Leeds Rhinos into the top six and from there, anything can happen.
