Is Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield Dippy Egg on the Masked Singer UK?
That seems to be one of the prevailing theories among viewers and not just rugby league fans. There seems to be a lot of evidence that points to Super League’s most successful captain.
For those not familiar with The Masked Singer, this show sees celebrities in crazy costumes perform and the aim is for viewers to figure out their secret identity and fans believe Sinfield is Dippy Egg.
A rugby ball is of course egg shaped and Dippy Egg most recently sang the Proclaimers’ most famous song “500 miles” where the chorus of course goes, “I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man who walked a thousand miles to fall down at your door” which fans believe could be reference to the many marathons and ultramarathons Kevin Sinfield has run to raise money in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease after the diagnosis of good friend and former teammate Rob Burrow in December 2019.
Furthermore, Dippy Egg wears blue and yellow which are of course the colours of Leeds Rhinos
If Sinfield was revealed as the singer, it would be great exposure again for both codes of rugby but more importantly the fight against MND.

Sinfield’s future is unclear at present. The Leeds legend had an amazing career at Leeds leading Leeds to seven Super League titles, two Challenge Cups, three League Leaders’ Shields and three World Club Challenges.
In his final season, he led Leeds to the treble before he made the move to rugby union for one season. After which, he returned to Leeds as Director of Rugby after a brief spell working for the RFL.
In 2021, he again switched to Union as a coach with Leicester Tigers winning the Premiership before leaving for England Rugby Union.
Now though the newly awarded CBE is set to leave England which begs the question, what next for Sinfield.
