The draw for the sixth round of the Challenge Cup took place tonight.
The draw is as follows:
Catalans Dragons vs Warrington Wolves
Castleford Tigers vs Hull FC
York RLFC vs London Broncos
Halifax Panthers vs St Helens
Hull KR vs Batley Bulldogs
Wakefield Trinity vs Leigh Leopards
Leeds Rhinos vs Wigan Warriors

There is a guaranteed Championship club in the quarter-finals with York and London meeting.

Meanwhile, after a fiery clash over Easter, Catalans Dragons and Warrington Wolves meet again with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.

Another easy draw for us I see 😂😂

There was a lot of banter from the Panthers fans:
Just a bus stop in Wigan.

And one said the trophy should just be given to them straight away:
Up the fax. Give us the trophy now 🏆🏆⚪️🔵 https://t.co/9O1MnsUcdc

Overall plenty of fans were calling for big changes to the competition to produce more interesting ties against Championship clubs.
5 times in 9 years we've faced FC.
Get SL clubs in at the Rd 32 stage asap!! pic.twitter.com/3lgNT7s08P— Mattcasfan (@mattcasfan) April 24, 2023
It is something IMG are looking at as part of their credentials:
This makes me sad. We've formatted the competition in such a way that a maximum of 4 teams a year get a chance to play against @SuperLeague opposition. No magic of the cup here
— RL Opinionist (@RLOpinionist) April 24, 2023
Turning back to the ties, unsurprisingly Wakefield fans aren’t confident.
I’m sure Leigh will be happy with their bye
— Paul Hartley (@northernharto) April 24, 2023
Interestingly, Warrington fans aren’t keen on the clash against Catalans.
Worst possible draw for us…
— TG (@ThomasGibbs_) April 24, 2023
Likewise most Leeds fans aren’t excited about hosting holders Wigan Warriors.
Ah well, some free weekends later in the year

Didn’t want a cup run anyway 😂😂

However, one fan warned Wigan fans about recent meeting between the two:
Do underestimate us we are good at home rarely loose we beat u like 40-6 or something last season
— leeds rhinos (@leeds_fan1) April 24, 2023
Elsewhere Castleford fans are plotting their route to the final:
Decent draw beat them and then hope for the winner of London vs York
