Exclusive: Three Super League clubs chasing hard for Huddersfield star

Serious About Rugby League can reveal that Kenny Edwards is in high demand, with three Super League clubs competing for the Huddersfield second-rower.

St Helens, Castleford and Leeds are believed to be in for Edwards, with the trio very keen on adding the 31-year-old to their ranks.

Edwards has been in Super League since 2018 when he signed for Catalans following six years in the NRL with the Parramatta Eels.

He excelled during his 18 months in Perpignan and was part of the Dragons team that won the Challenge Cup Final against Warrington Wolves at Wembley in 2018.

Huddersfield pulled off a real coup when they signed Edwards ahead of the 2020 season and the New Zealand-born forward has been a regular for the West Yorkshire club since.

He has now racked up over 50 appearance since arriving in Super League and having impressed in most of them, a cluster of clubs want to add Edwards’ experience and talent to their forward pack.

Whether that will happen though and where that will be remains to be seen as Super League’s transfer merry-go-round prepares to enter full swing with summer approaching.
