Reece Lyne has been there and done it for Wakefield Trinity.
A part of the West Yorkshire club since 2012, Lyne has made a home at Belle Vue with over 200 appearances under his belt and many more to come given the length of deal he signed earlier this year.
The 28-year-old put pen to paper on a new deal in August – a deal which will see Lyne stay at Wakefield until at least the end of the 2025 Super League season.
It also means that the centre will earn a testimonial at Trinity and it was a contract that he found easy to sign.
“I still had three years left on my deal,” Lyne told Serious About Rugby League.
“So I didn’t really talk to other clubs and I was just looking at extending my stay with Wakefield.”
In his nine years at Trinity, Lyne has overseen the club go through many stages from the nailbiting Million Pound Game victory over Bradford Bulls in 2015 to a fifth-place finish in 2017, and he was keen to express just how positive the club has changed in his time.
“The club has changed a lot, especially with professionalism over the years.
“There has also been an increasing ability to nurture and maintain the quality of young players in the Wakefield system.”
