Jordan Rankin will be remembered fondly on UK shores after having three different spells in Super League.
First, he came to Hull FC back in 2014, spent two seasons at the MKM Stadium before returning home to Australia.
Then, Rankin made the switch to the Huddersfield Giants in 2017 and then moved on-loan to the Castleford Tigers in 2019.
He scored 10 tries in 28 appearances for Castleford, but left midway through the 2020 season after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the UK hard.
In that time in Super League, Rankin played under Lee Radford at Hull FC – the coach that first brought him to the northern hemisphere.
“Lee was amazing for my career,” Rankin told Serious About Rugby League.
“He really gave me a lot of confidence to back myself and was such a tough but gentle coach for me – he really knew how to get the best out of me.”
Rankin later played one-and-a-half seasons with the Tigers and waxed lyrical about his time starring under Daryl Powell.
“Daryl is up there with one of the best coaches I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
“He again knew how I ticked and how to get the best out of me.
“He’s such a people person and it wasn’t always about rugby but he took a real interest in the person.
“I absolutely loved playing under Daryl and wished I had more time to be coached by him.”
