Exclusive: Hull FC star Connor Wynne opens up on Brett Hodgson

Hull FC star Connor Wynne has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting youngsters in Super League.

Aged just 21, the centre has become a key part of Hull FC under head coach Brett Hodgson and he has enjoyed every minute of it in 2022.

“I’ve really enjoyed this season so far and I think it’s my best season of my career up to now,” Wynne told Serious About Rugby League.

“I’m really looking forward to kicking on and hopefully finishing the year in even better form.”

A key part of enjoying his time at the MKM Stadium has been working under head coach Brett Hodgson.

“It’s good working under Hodgson.

“I think he’s brought a bit more professionalism out of me and made me really focus on my rugby and what I need to do to get the best out of myself so he’s a big help.

For a Hull lad, representing the Black and White side of East Yorkshire is something that Wynne dreamed about since being a child.

“It’s my hometown club and I love all the boys there.

“Representing my own city is massive and it’s something I love – and a young boy coming from Hull, it’s always been my dream.”
