EXCLUSIVE: Catalans could return in August

Catalans Dragons have said they may be able to play home games in France behind closed doors in August.

Yesterday, the French government announced all sport was banned until September at the earliest. It has led to the cancellation of professional football, as well as the regional rugby league competition.

Although, they do  stress they are waiting for official government advice, regarding sporting events in the country.

A club source told Serious About Rugby League: “We are still waiting for official and definitive information concerning sports events.

“There are some new info’s as maybe we could play behind closed doors in August, depending of the evolution of the situation.”

The game in the UK remains suspended indefinitely, amid the coronavirus pandemic.
