Cornwall RLFC’s Betfred League 1 opener on Sunday will be streamed live by the Sportsman.

The game takes place at the warm-up arena at the Alexander Stadium – the venue for last year’s Commonwealth Games, which will be a new home ground for the Hurricanes in 2023.

Live and exclusive coverage streamed on the Sportsman Rugby League via YouTube, begins at 2.45pm with the match kicking off at 3.00pm.

The following Saturday, Cornwall will be back in front of the live cameras again with BBC Sport having already confirmed that they will show the Choughs’ Betfred Challenge Cup debut at home to Rochdale Mayfield.

The Second Round tie on Saturday, February 25 and kicks off at 1pm.

The third round draw, when the 13 English clubs from the Betfred Championship enter the competition, will be held on Monday, February 27 at one of those second tier clubs – Featherstone Rovers, who are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their last Challenge Cup win at Wembley in 1983, and the 50th anniversary of their 1973 triumph against Bradford Northern.

This weekend there is plenty of rugby to watch on TV.

Warrington take on Leeds live on Sky Sports on Thursday night before Leigh host Salford also on Sky on Friday.

Saturday morning Sky and Channel 4 will broadcast the World Club Challenge between St Helens and Penrith Panthers.

After that Channel 4 will show Hull KR vs Wigan Warriors.

Meanwhile, Sky will show more of the NRL Pre-Season Challenge.
