Ex-Wigan Warriors and Salford Red Devils man shining at new club

The Elite One Championship has recently been home to some huge rugby league names.

Last year Krisnan Inu, having left Salford Red Devils spent time in the French competition prior to a move to Leigh Leopards.

Meanwhile, Nathan Peats did the same following his exit from Huddersfield Giants and before he made a return to Super League with Toulouse Olympique.

He is now set to return to the Giants as Inu is set to take on a coaching role at Salford.

Meanwhile, James Maloney continues to shine at Lazignan and has been joined by former Toulouse and NRL star Corey Norman.

Former Catalans Dragons, Wigan Warriors, Wakefield Trinity and Salford Red Devils star Morgan Escare made a similar move and Elite One clubs made a move for Wakefield Trinity signing Samisoni Langi before he chose to join Belle Vue.

It is one of those players who have truly started to shine perhaps prompting the question: should a Super League club have signed him?

This is of course former Wigan and Salford man Escare.

Escare has been scoring tries for fun for Carcassonne and this weekend he scored a superb hattrick against Villeneuve in a 56-8 win.

The three tries showed his wide attacking ability. The first saw him finish a team move, the second showed his intelligence down the blindside to sniff out an opportunity and then his third depicted his determination as he claimed a kick to score a hat trick.

His try scoring has them top of the league ahead of Maloney and Norman’s Lezignan in third.
