Ex-Wigan Warriors and Hull FC forward Chris Tuson now has a surprising new career

Former Wigan Warriors and Hull FC forward Chris Tuson now has a surprising career.

After making 83 appearances for Wigan, eight for Castleford Tigers and 12 for Hull FC, Tuson retired in 2014 due to a recurring back injury at the age of just 26.

Since then, the Leyland-born forward has seemingly dropped off the radar, only for it now to be revealed that he has gone a different path altogether to rugby league.

Transitioning from sport – an intense and incredibly committed career – into the next path after that can often be extremely challenging.

And, a number of players have spoken out recently about the struggles of going from that extreme to suddenly nothing – ex-Toronto Wolfpack and Salford Red Devils forward Cory Paterson recently launched his own podcast talking to former players about their worries after hanging up their boots.

But, Tuson’s story is one of hard work and dedication as he now finds himself as the Technical Account Manager of Pimberley – which describes itself as ‘the most powerful Product Information Management platform on the planet.”

Quite clearly then, 33-year-old Tuson is making a great career for himself away from the field.
