Ex-Warrington Wolves assistant Andrew Henderson teases surprise coaching role

Ex-Warrington Wolves assistant coach Andrew Henderson has been out of a coaching job since being let go by Warrington Wolves at the end of the 2021 Super League season.
However, since then, Henderson has become more involved in the administrative side of the sport, having been appointed as Director of Rugby at Keighley Cougars.
Live on Premier Sports last night as Sheffield Eagles overcame Widnes Vikings 34-24, Henderson teased a potential coaching role, revealing that something may well be announced at the end of this week.
Widnes and Bradford Bulls are both without head coaches following the departure of Simon Finnigan and John Kear respectively and the ex-Scottish international has shown his desire to get back into coaching.
“I have a passion for coaching and I love coaching but at the same time it’s got to be the right coaching job at the right time at the right club,” Henderson had previously told Serious About Rugby League.
“At the end of last season that right coaching role wasn’t available, but if and when the right time does present itself in the future at least I’ve covered all sorts of roles within the sport.
“One of the good things being at Keighley in the role I’m in is it’s quite flexible.
“I can combine that role with some of my media work – I work with Premier Sports and do other bits with media organisations.
“I enjoy the punditry side of stuff and I’m just in a fortunate position where I can combine the duties I have at Keighley with taking on some punditry work.”
