Ex-Warrington half-back released by Gold Coast

Justin Holbrook has decided against offering former Warrington playmaker Tyrone Roberts a new contract with the Gold Coast Titans.

The 29-year-old re-signed for the club at the start of last year after a difficult spell in Super League with the Wolves.

Roberts made 15 appearances during the 2019 NRL campaign but the arrival of Holbrook has seen him fall down the pecking order.

The four-time Indigenous All Star has played just three games this season, with Jamal Fogarty and Ash Taylor the preferred combination in the halves.

Roberts now has an uncertain future with little interest from elsewhere in the NRL and a return overseas very unlikely.

He joins Nathan Peats in exiting the Titans without a destination for the 2021 season.
