Ex-Wakefield Trinity fullback Alex Walker finds new club

Former Wakefield Trinity fullback Alex Walker has found a new club.

Walker, who burst onto the scene with the London Broncos was once talked about by much of the Super League fraternity, with his performances for London in the 2018 Championship season earning him rave reviews.

The wily fullback continued to perform for the capital club in 2019, as London were relegated by the skin of their teeth on the final day, with points difference eventually sending the Broncos down.

With their relegation confirmed, the fullback left for pastures new at Wakefield in 2020, but he told Serious About Rugby League just how tough that transition was, especially with him having to move from his home in Harlow to West Yorkshire.

“My time at Wakefield was a massive learning experience,” Walker previously told Serious About Rugby League.

“Having to deal with injuries for the first time, being away from home and being in some poor form was tough.

“Then, I was very grateful for some game time at the end of the season when I went to Featherstone.”

Walker had been on trial with the Halifax Panthers before Christmas who were, at the time, ‘considering their options’ going forward.

However, Walker has now returned home with the London Broncos after the club announced his signature on social media.
