Ex-Super League star set to turn down UK return

The French Elite One Championship is coming to a close and thus it means plenty of their star players could be about to come over to the UK to play in either Super League or the Championship.

Sky Sports reported that Dean Whare was interested in a move back to Super League after leaving Catalans Dragons for the Elite One Championship last year.

Meanwhile, big names like James Segeyaro formerly of the Leeds Rhinos, former Salford Red Devils and Wigan Warriors star Morgan Escare and ex-NRL star Corey Norman have all been tipped to move to the UK for a period either with struggling Super League sides or Championship clubs.

However, Serious About Rugby League understands one player who we won’t see any time soon is former Hull FC and Toulouse Olympique centre Hakim Miloudi.

The centre left Barrow Raiders for Albi Tigers at the end of last year and helped them to the final over in France.

It was suggested that he like others could return to the UK but with a two year deal at his new club and wanting to prepare for another big season, Miloudi is set to turn down a return to Super League and the Championship.

However, there is nothing to suggest Miloudi wouldn’t return to the Super League at the end of that deal.
