Ex-St Helens man “rebuilding himself” after horror injury and move away

Regan Grace made an instant impact in a St Helens shirt all the way back in 2017.

To dislodge a top Super League winger like Adam Swift shows Grace’s quality and by 2019 he was one of St Helens’ best players.

An elusive runner with explosive speed, no one runs quite like the Welsh flyer.

As St Helens built their dynasty, Grace became more and more important and in 2021 was one of St Helens’ most important players as they went on to win the double.

However, he started the 2022 season with an injury and when he returned from it in the Challenge Cup, he picked up another problem.

He eventually returned to action but a heart breaking injury in a shock thumping defeat to Salford Red Devils would spell the end of his St Helens career after he had already agreed to a move to rugby union.

Though a return isn’t impossible, for now it is all about the 15-man code and Grace is currently “rebuilding” himself after the injury.

He took to Twitter with an update: “I’m enjoying the process of rebuilding myself, it’s great to look back and see how far I’ve come.

“Gotta keep moving forward.”

If he can return the player he was before his injury, he will be a roaring success,
