Ex-Leeds Rhinos man Mitchell Garbutt to leave Toulouse Olympique

Mitchell Garbutt will leave Toulouse Olympique at the end of the season.

After debuting in the NRL with the Melbourne Storm, then a stint in Brisbane, Mitch signed for Leeds in 2015.

He stayed there for 4 seasons, played 84 games and won three major trophies: two Super League Grand Final titles at Old Trafford (2015 and 2017) and a Challenge Cup (FAC) at Wembley (2015). In 2019, he joined Hull KR and played 22 games, scoring five tries.

Arriving at the French club in 2021, Garbutt has been able to bring all his power, his technique and his high-level experience to Toulouse. Although the season is not over, he has so far played 21 games in the blue and white jersey and scored seven tries. He also took part in the Super League promotion final in October 2021 and supported the group in their first steps at the highest European level.

Bernard SARRAZAIN, the President of TO XIII said: “The whole of Toulouse Olympique is very grateful for everything that Mitch has brought to the group and to the club since his arrival. He marked the history of the TO as a player and I am sure that he will continue to support us until the end of the season. I wish him and his family all the best for this new chapter in his career in Comminges.
