Former Hull KR forward AJ Wallace has become the latest Super League player to link up with Halifax Panthers for 2027.
Riley Dean’s loan spell with Bradford Bulls came to a close at the end of the 2026 season and he has been snapped up by the Panthers and now Wallace, whose one-year deal with Toulouse has ended, becomes another Super League addition.
Wallace was loaned out from Hull KR to Toulouse in 2025 and then signed a permanent deal with the French side for 2026, with the Robins not renewing the second-rower’s deal for this past season.
It would now appear that Toulouse did not offer Wallace a new deal for 2027 and as such, he’s signed in the Championship with Fax, who confirmed his arrival via social media.
Sharing a post on X, Halifax said: “AJ Wallace joins the Panthers. The back-rower, who spent 2026 in France with Toulouse Olympique, joins Kyle’s squad for the 2027 season and is excited to get started.”
Speaking on his move, Wallace said: “The last 3 years have been a bit up and down for me regarding rugby so I’m looking forward to coming home and start to enjoy rugby again. To be able to playing at a club like Halifax who are keen to show their worth as a top tier team is exciting!”
The Jamaican international didn’t play a senior game for Hull KR, who he joined up with in 2024, but he made a total of 16 appearances for Toulouse in 2026 after helping them win the Championship Grand Final the season before whilst on loan.
