Former Huddersfield Giants star Eorl Crabtree is ‘worried’ about Hull FC.
The Black and Whites were consigned to a horrendous 46-18 defeat on Friday night to the Castleford Tigers, whose head coach Lee Radford returned to the MKM Stadium since been sacked over two years ago.
Despite being up 18-8 at half-time, Brett Hodgson’s men capitulated to concede 38 unanswered points and send home the majority of the 9,000 crowd seriously unhappy.
In just four games, the Black and Whites have let in almost 200 points – a statistic that means almost an average of 50 points per game in the last four.
And, for Crabtree, these are worrying signs.
Crabtree tweeted: “There is quite a lot wrong in that Hull team at the moment, taking so many shortcuts is a very worrying sign. bad habits have formed. They have the players to turn it around, question is do they have the desire, belief and attitude to do it? It’s in there, just need to find it.”

It remains to be seen what Hodgson can do to rectify the issues, but they appear long standing and following that awful defeat on Friday, Hodgson didn’t mince his words.
He said: “Second-half it was embarrassing. I don’t often say that, but we’re a team under any adversity we are struggling.
“We have a lack of willingness to put our bodies on the line and we didn’t come out of the sheds.
“Winning solves everything. We are really disappointed that being tough was pushing and shoving rather than defending our try line and that is not ok.
“The game was there to be won at half-time.”
For Hull, they will have to get back on the horse this weekend against Toulouse Olympique who have been finding some form recently – particularly at home – as Hodgson looks for a solution.
