Ex-Huddersfield Giants hooker Danny Levi’s destination reportedly revealed as he replaces former Hull KR man

Last night Huddersfield Giants confirmed that Danny Levi would be allowed to leave the club on compassionate grounds and return to Australia.

Levi has had a brilliant season in 2022 and it’s not done yet with the hooker set to represent Samoa in the World Cup with his side set for a big clash against England in the opening game of the World Cup at St James’ Park.

But after that he and his family will return to Australia after one year with the Giants.

According to reports down under, NRL clubs began to circle the hooker towards the end of last year and now one of them has won the race for his signature.

The Daily Telegraph and Zerotackle in Australia have stated he has signed a two-year deal with Canberra Raiders.

He will replace another former Super League man in Josh Hodgson who has starred at nine for the Raiders since making the switch to the NRL a few years ago from Hull KR.

The England international is now headed to NRL Grand Finalists Parramatta Eels in 2023 after a injury hit final season with the Raiders which has ruled him out of the World Cup.

Levi will be the ideal replacement for Hodgson in the Australian capital in 2023.
