Ex-Huddersfield Giants and Hull FC star amongst those who pay tribute to Andrew Farrell

Last night the rugby league community was devastated by the loss of Huddersfield Giants coach Andrew Farrell.

Since then, tribute have poured in for the former Salford Red Devils coach including from Ireland’s Rugby League World Cup coach and former Sheffield Eagles assistant Ged Corcoran:

“What a man, they say God only takes the good ones. Andy was cut from a different cloth as was his brother Anthony. My condolences to the Farrell family during this difficult time.”

Meanwhile, former Salford Red Devils and Toronto Wolfpack star Olsi Krasniqi said: “Such sad news to read about. I remember how he used to single handedly tap the whole team out one after the other during wrestle sessions and doing it all whilst talking to us! A lovely bloke with so much character who always had time for anyone. May you rest easy Faz.”

Meanwhile, North Wales Crusaders and former St Helens and Salford Red Devils man Carl Foster simply said: “Such sad news. RIP Faz!”

Lastly, former Huddersfield Giants and Hull FC star and now Newcastle Thunder coach Chris Thorman said: “RIP Faz. We had many a session with him doing wrestling and pummelling. Always practised what he preached. Gone too soon.”
