Ex-Cronulla Sharks man retires leaving the future of former Wakefield Trinity star unsure

Andrew Fifita has today called time on his rugby league career which began in 2010.
After 13 seasons and over 250 games and 40 tries, Fifita has now played his last game.
A Tongan and Australian international, he made his debut with Wests in the 2010 campaign but his best rugby would come at Cronulla Sharks where he would win the 2016 NRL Grand Final evening scoring the winning try of the game.
In 2017, he represented Tonga in a World Cup semi-final having turned down Australia as part of the revolution which has made Tonga a force on the international stage.
However, now the 2013 World Cup winner with Australia has called time on his career at 33 but it leaves big question marks over the future of his twin brother and former Wakefield Trinity man David Fifita.
David was also at Cronulla until 2016 when he joined Trinity almost immediately endearing himself to the fans.
But after six and a half seasons he left to return to Australia where it was believed he would play one last season alongside his brother potentially at Wests Tigers.
Now though, that won’t be the case. So has, David Fifita also played his last game? Time will tell, but if he is to carry on it will be in the NRL and not Super League.
