Every Super League club’s 2026 average attendance as Wigan Warriors dominate and surprise team sits third

Wigan Warriors have claimed the top spot in the 2026 Super League attendance standings, but it is struggle-plagued Hull FC who provide the most staggering takeaway of the entire campaign.

With six clubs pulling in five-figure average gates across the regular season, fan interest across the top flight has remained at a premium. While Wigan led the way at the Brick Community Stadium, Hull FC defied an abysmal year on the pitch to claim an astonishing third-place spot in the crowd rankings.

At the other end of the spectrum, four sides averaged fewer than 8,000 supporters, highlighting a stark divide across the division.

The top half: Heavyweights deliver as Hull FC shock the league

Wigan Warriors take top honours as the league’s market leaders on the terraces, bringing in a league-high average of 15,937 fans off the back of a sensational second half of the campaign.

They are closely followed by second-placed Leeds Rhinos, whose resurgence at the top end of the table saw their home gates climb to an impressive 15,809.

However, the real talking point sits in third place.

Despite a dreadful campaign that saw Hull FC narrowly avoid finishing bottom of the table, Black and Whites fans showed remarkable loyalty, averaging 13,119, making them the third most supported side in Super League by a considerable margin.

Reigning champions Hull KR sat fourth with an average gate of 11,628 across their 12 home games (excluding their Las Vegas fixture), while St Helens (11,381) and Warrington Wolves (10,388) rounded out the six clubs to pull in five-figure averages.

  5. St Helens: 11,381
  6. Warrington Wolves: 10,388
  7. Catalans Dragons: 8,944

The bottom half: Mid-table congestion and basement struggles

Outside of the top six, Catalans Dragons fell just short of the 9,000 mark with an average of 8,944, closely shadowed by Leigh Leopards (8,704) and newly-promoted play-off qualifiers Wakefield Trinity (8,585), whose numbers continue to rise year on year.

Wooden spoon recipients Bradford Bulls produced a respectable average crowd of 8,568, buoyed by a derby gate of nearly 15,000 against Leeds at Easter, while Castleford Tigers posted 8,152 despite a brutal year on the field.

The final three spots are occupied by York Knights (5,849), French outfit Toulouse Olympique (4,870), and Huddersfield Giants, who finished bottom of the pile with 4,798 in their final season in the town before their move to Dewsbury.
