Recruitment for 2025 is beginning to dominate the agenda in Super League as clubs continue to announce signings for next year and beyond.
Most clubs have announced at least one deal and with 10 games still to go until the end of this season, plenty more business will done. With that in mind, we take a look and assess the recruitment done so far.

2025 signings: Louis Senior, Innes Senior.
Grade: C
Castleford don’t know for definite what league they will be playing in next season but they’ve made a decent enough start to their recruitment with the Senior brothers adding to their firepower on the edges. There’s more work to be done, though, if they are to kick on and progress.
Catalans Dragons

2025 signings: Tommy Makinson, Nick Cotric, Ollie Partington, Elliott Whitehead, Luke Keary.
Grade: A
Catalans have been busy and they’ve managed to add certified star power to their line up. The likes of Makinson and Whitehead provide experience and nous, while Cotric and Partington are young enough to spend their peak years at the Stade Gilbert Brutus. Cotric is one who the Dragons will be hoping can tear it up in Super League given his history in the NRL with Canberra Raiders and Keary becomes the latest in a long line of experienced Australian half-backs to head over to Perpignan.
Hudderfield Giants
2025 signings: Tom Burgess.
Grade: A-
Securing Burgess for next season goes down as a huge statement of intent from the Giants and he’s sure to impress after calling time on his lengthy spell with South Sydney Rabbitohs. That’s the only deal the club have announced so far, though, and after a frustrating campaign there is plenty still to do.
Hull FC
2025 signings: John Asiata, Amir Bourouh, Jordan Abdull, Ed Chamberlain, Oliver Holmes, Zak Hardaker.
Grade: B
Hull have been the busiest of the 12 current Super League clubs but after such a woeful season they’re far from finished when it comes to new additions and they are pushing to land more. Those who have been signed have been received warmly for the most part, with Abdull, Asiata and Hardaker in particular adding the leadership and experience they have been missing.

2025 signings: Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Eribe Doro, Tom Davies, Bill Leyland, Michael McIlorum
Grade: A-
The addition of Waerea-Hargreaves was enough to set pulses racing in Super League even at this stage of his career. Davies replaces the outgoing Ryan Hall, while Doro and Leyland have excelled in the Championship in recent seasons. Willie Peters is doing a fine job at Craven Park and he’ll be encouraged by the club’s recruitment so far.
Leeds Rhinos
2025 signings: Ryan Hall
Grade: C
Securing the return of Hall on a one-year deal makes sense on a number of levels for Leeds, with the 36-year-old having plenty still to offer the game on and off the pitch. The Rhinos might not be too busy but whoever takes charge of the club next season could be keen to make his mark on the squad.
Leigh Leopards
2025 signings: David Armstrong
Grade: B
A lot of players are leaving the Leopards at the end of the season and they have started what will have to be a big recruitment push heading into next year. They’ve managed to secure David Armstrong from Newcastle Knights, which looks like a big coup, but more deals will need to follow.
London Broncos

Salford Red Devils

2025 signings: Esan Marsters
Grade: B
Like plenty of other Super League sides, Salford have work to do when it comes to recruitment for next season. They’ve taken Marsters from Huddersfield to give Paul Rowley options in the back line, but with a raft of players set to leave once more, further additions are needed for Super League 2025.
