Super League

Every rugby league match you can watch live on TV this week

Another huge weekend of rugby awaits. From mouth-watering clashes between two of Super League’s early pace setters to the very best of the NRL doing battle, this weekend will have it all.

Once again, Sky have some brilliant Super League clashes to showcase from Thursday night onwards as the next chapter of this season is written. But we’re being offered more than just the Super League again this week.

So, prepare yourself for another rugby league feast.

Thursday:

10:45 Sky Sports Arena – Canberra Raiders v South Sydney Rabbitohs

Canberra have uncharacteristically struggled over the last few weeks. They desperately need to rediscover that winning formula. Standing in their way on Thursday is the impressive South Sydney. The Rabbitohs are emerging as major title contenders and currently sit third in the table. This should be a classic match.

19:00 Sky Sports Arena, Sky Sports Main Event – Wigan Warriors v Hull FC

In the game of the round, two of Super League’s unbeaten teams go toe-to-toe. Both Wigan and Hull have enjoyed magnificent starts to the season and are early contenders to St Helens’ crown. The Warriors have won all four of their opening league games and take on a Hull side who have only dropped one point so far this season whilst producing their best start to a campaign since 2009. Something has to give come Thursday night.

Friday:

10:50 Sky Sports Arena, Sky Sports Mix – Brisbane Broncos v Gold Coast Titans

Then on Friday morning a Queensland derby. The narrative for this one is fascinating too. Brisbane, once the premier club of the state, are now firmly in the shadow of the Titans who are enjoying a brilliant year under the command for former St Helens coach Justin Holbrook. They currently occupy seventh place whilst the Broncos are floundering in 15th. There’s more than league points up for grabs in this one. Pride is at stake too.

19:30 Sky Sports Arena – Salford Red Devils v Castleford Tigers

Friday night then sees Castleford Tigers butt heads with Salford. The Red Devils will come into this one with confidence following a first win of the season whilst the opposite could be said of the Tigers as they pick themselves up after a first defeat of the campaign. Can they get back on the horse?

Saturday:

10:35 Sky Sports Arena – Newcastle Knights v Sydney Roosters

Newcastle’s start to the new campaign has been a mixed bag. At present they sit 10th but are just four points behind the Roosters in fifth. There’s still a very real chance they could make the play-offs this year. As for the Roosters they’ve been going under the radar so far this season with impressive youngster Sam Walker leading them around the field. They’ll have to be at their best to down the Knights however.

As per usual every Super League game can be watched on the OurLeague app by season ticket holders from either side involved whilst Championship fixtures can be viewed on the OurLeague app by season ticket holders of the home team.
