Super League

Every rugby league match you can watch live on TV this week

Last week, Super League gave way to a scintillating weekend of Challenge Cup action. However, this week we again change gears and dive right back into the league campaign.

It’s a weekend that sees Sky show some seismic Super League clashes along with the very best the NRL has to offer.

So, here’s every rugby league match you can watch live this weekend.

Thursday:

19:00 Sky Sports Arena, Sky Sports Main Event – Leeds Rhinos v Wigan Warriors

Thursday doesn’t see any NRL action hit our screens. However, it does feature one of the biggest games in British rugby league which will be shown live on Sky Sports. Eight-time Super League Champions Leeds take on five-time Champions Wigan in a clash between two of Super League’s biggest and most successful teams – two clubs with dreams of Old Trafford. It’ll be tough for the injury hit Rhinos however coach Richard Agar could finally give a debut to Kyle Eastmond. Meanwhile the Warriors will be looking to maintain their 100% start.

Friday:

10:55 Sky Sports Arena – Melbourne Storm v Sydney Roosters

Following a Thursday night game full of Super League Grand Final pedigree, we see an Australian equivalent as the last two winners of the NRL go toe-to-toe. Melbourne are still adjusting to life after Cameron Smith but have won more games than they’ve lost. However, they’ve so far been out done by the Roosters who, despite their injury worries, sit second in the table.

19:30 Sky Sports Arena – Hull KR v Huddersfield Giants

Then on Friday night two of Super League’s winless clubs do battle for a first win of the season. Hull KR have shown good signs in their opening two league defeats and probably should’ve beaten Castleford in the cup last time out. Their games are often full of tries so expect this clash to be no different. They take on a Giants side no doubt boosted by a cup win at the weekend. They could still be without their key man Aidan Sezer however.

Saturday:

8:30 Sky Sports Arena – South Sydney Rabbitohs v West Tigers

To kick-off a Saturday feast of rugby league we have a Sydney derby. Souths have started this season brilliantly winning four out of their opening five games and sit third in the table. The form of Latrell Mitchell at fullback has really caught the eye. They’re taking on a somewhat hapless Wests outfit who have just one win to their name.

10:35 Sky Sports Arena and Sky Sports Mix – Canberra Raiders v Parramatta Eels

Straight after that is a mouth-watering clash from the NRL. Parramatta come into the game following their first defeat of the season whilst Canberra’s impressive start to the year was also dented last week at the hands of Penrith. The two should serve up quite the battle as two sides I fancy to be in and around the top four by the end of the season go toe-to-toe.

16:55 Sky Sports Arena – Catalans Dragons v Salford Red Devils

Concluding this weekend’s live rugby is a tussle in France as two of the Challenge Cup’s last 8 butt heads. Catalans are looking to continue their 100% start whilst Salford will be desperate for a first win of the season. Both sides have points in them so this could be quite the game.

As per usual, every Super League game can be watched on the OurLeague app by season ticket holders from both clubs whilst Championship games can also be viewed on the app by season ticket holders from the home team.
