There is plenty of rugby league action this weekend with over 20 games taking place and we’ve listed details for all of them.
After this weekend, there are just three weeks until the Super League season starts and there are also games every weekend until that point with the action coming thick and fast.
This weekend is a perfect example of that as there are 19 Challenge Cup games, three testimonial matches and a further two friendlies taking place. Another boost is that four of those games are available to watch online, with two of those being free-to-air.
Friday night marks the first game and that sees Wakefield Trinity take on Castleford Tigers in Luke Gale’s testimonial after 15 years of service to rugby league. Gale retired at the end of the 2024 season but could make a cameo in the game against his former club.
How to watch rugby league this weekend
Saturday sees eight of the Challenge Cup ties taking place and the first of those pits Goole Vikings against London Broncos with League One’s newest club travelling down south. That fixture will be broadcast by the BBC on iPlayer, the Red Button and the BBC Sport website.
Another broadcast game that day is the Amsterdam Challenge between Hull KR and York Knights, whilst two other Super League sides are in action as St Helens take on Salford for Morgan Knowles’ testimonial.
Sunday sees another testimonial as Leeds Rhinos host Wigan for Ash Handley’s big day whilst a further 11 Challenge Cup ties take place.
Below, we’ve listed the details for every game this weekend with fixtures marked either CC or F to denote whether they are Challenge Cup ties or friendly games.
