Every pre-season friendly today as five Super League clubs set to play

As January rolls on we’re getting into the depths of pre-season with almost all teams having played once and some teams twice. Whilst last week saw a cold snap and plenty of postponements this weekend looks set to be busy with action.

The schedule for this weekend sees plenty of teams in action as teams wind up for what’s unofficially ‘week three’ of pre-season.

Here’s of the games set to take place today after St Helens beat Widnes Vikings on Friday night 16-12 thanks to tries from Curtis Sironen, a returning Lewis Dodd and James Bell in Mark Percival’s testimonial game as the Super League Champions also prepare for the World Club Challenge against Penrith Panthers.

Today the likes of Castleford Tigers star signing from Hull KR Albert Vete will make his debut whilst Featherstone and Wakefield will also trust in their new signings such as former Salford Red Devils star Elijah Taylor who both Featherstone and Wakefield were interested in.

Today’s fixtures:

Salford Red Devils vs Swinton Lions: 1pm at the AJ Bell Stadium
Wakefield Trinity vs Featherstone Rovers: 2pm at Belle Vue
Leeds Rhinos vs Bradford Bulls: 2.30pm at Headingley
Barrow Raiders vs Wigan Warriors: 3pm at Craven Park
Hunslet vs Batley Bulldogs: 3pm at the South Leeds Stadium
