Every 2025 Super League kit so far ranked including Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR masterpieces

One of the few moments of excitement for fans of Super League sides at the moment is the announcement of the shirt for the 2025 season.

Almost every team in the league has announced at least one shirt that they’ll be wearing next season, with just Salford Red Devils and Wakefield Trinity yet to announce a design.

18 shirts in total have been revealed at the time of writing, and we’ve attempted to rank them all.

Ranking every Super League kit announced so far

18. Leigh Leopards home

The Leopard print is a lot as it is, but in our opinion, it really doesn’t work in white and red.

It’s a shame, as their away colour scheme was great last year, but sorry Derek – their home shirt for 2025 is our least favourite so far.

It’ll also presumably have sponsor logos across it that may detract further.

17. Catalans Dragons third

The Dragons have incredible designs year on year, so they’re probably allowed a year where that isn’t the case.

This is especially low because they’re usually a lot better, but what’s going on with this one?

It certainly doesn’t scream ‘rugby league’, and that’s okay, but it just doesn’t really work.

16. Huddersfield Giants home

Their home shirt last year was fantastic, but this one feels unnaturally weighted, with too much gold at the top, and the main sponsor logo being the only one that doesn’t fit the colour scheme takes away from it.

15. Castleford Tigers home

The return to a predominantly amber shirt is a welcome one, but it feels unfinished – the stripes end awkwardly, and there’s uneven spacing between them.

The collar works well, and the colours are great, but so much more could have been done with this.

14. Leeds Rhinos away

Not really sure what’s going on with the pattern here, but it takes away from what could otherwise have been a very decent shirt.

Keep it on the sleeves, take it away from the main body, and it would be great.

As it is, it isn’t.

13. St Helens home

A lot of people dislike that they’ve done something a bit different with this ‘futuristic‘ piece, but they get people saying ‘this is boring, same thing every season’ when they don’t.

The iridescent badge doesn’t feel like it works, but the placing, we think, actually lends itself to this design.

12. Warrington Wolves home

It isn’t predominantly blue, which throws us off, as does the fact that the chevron never finishes.

It’s a great colour scheme, and it is very nearly great, but falls short.

11. Hull KR home

The Robins seemingly can’t decide whether their home shirts should be mostly red or white.

However, they’ve done great things with home shirts over the years regardless of this, and this is a very solid effort.

It’s not often you see a sash in Super League, but they’ve done it – and the added shoulder design works well.

This is a really nice shirt.

10. St Helens away

This is a wonderful colour scheme, and the vee is done really well.

The sponsor is a bit too far down – it would probably look better overlapping the chevron – and the white outline of the golden sponsor logos is unfortunate and unnecessary.

However, that doesn’t detract enough from the design to stop this from being really nice.

9. Warrington Wolves away

The main purple chosen is a lovely one, but the other purple clashes a little.

Why are some logos black and some purple?

It’s a shame, it’s close to being great.

8. Catalans Dragons home

The design isn’t everyone’s favourite, but it’s a nice take on their classic colour scheme and design, and is a nod to their branding.

It certainly isn’t their best go, but it’s still a great shirt. The lack of a main sponsor also adds to it.

7. Wigan Warriors away

The sponsor is not the easiest colour to work into a design, but the Warriors get marks for coming up with a colour scheme that works with it.

It is, yet again, quite different, but it’s subtle enough that it still looks good.

6. Hull FC home

Pretty close to being the exact opposite of last year’s design, but it’s simple, classic, and works well with the sponsor logos.

The collar being gold is a little bit odd, as the gold can’t be found elsewhere on the shirt, but now we’re being trivial.

5. Wigan Warriors home

No need to re-invent the wheel – the classic colour combination speaks for itself.

4. Hull KR third

Maybe it’s a little similar to a past Paris Saint-Germain football shirt, but the colours are ace – a great take on their classic theme while being modern.

The collar is also great, and all it needed was the sponsor to be a little smaller for it to be pretty perfect.

3. Castleford Tigers away

A crazy colour scheme for the Tigers, but the pattern is excellent.

The shame is that the black isn’t the main colour for the shorts and socks.

However, the sponsor logos have been worked into the design perfectly and this is a bold, unique, excellent design.

2. Hull KR away

This is what the Warrington away shirt could have been.

The subtle pattern and the dark purple accents make this a wonderful away kit.

1. Leeds Rhinos home

This is Leeds Rhinos, to a tee.

Harking back to rugby league of old with the white collar was a pleasant surprise, while the main design and colours make us think of a special time for rugby league.

10/10, no notes. Best shirt in Super League for 2025 – so far.
