Wigan have confirmed that fullback Morgan Escaré has left the club by mutual consent.
The Frenchman joined the Warriors from Catalans in 2017, going on to make 47 appearances for the club, scoring 14 tries.
With the likes of Sam Tomkins, Zak Hardaker and Bevan French also at the club during his time there, though, the 28-year-old’s game time has been limited and resulted in him joining Wakefield on loan last season.
He has played just six games for Wigan in the past 18 months and will now leave to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
Warriors’ executive director Kris Radlinski said: “With the limited opportunities to find a game for Morgan and with the cancellation of the Reserve programme for 2020, it was felt the best thing by all was to allow Morgan to find another Club for the remainder of 2020 and secure a contract for 2021 and beyond.
“We thank him for his commitment to Wigan over the last few years and we wish him well for the rest of his career.”
