Eorl Crabtree makes huge shock prediction

Last week Castleford Tigers ended their winless start to the season as they defeated Leeds Rhinos.

Later that weekend, Wakefield Trinity looked like they were set to follow suit against Salford Red Devils only for a golden point drop goal from Marc Sneyd to hand them a fifth defeat from the opening five.

So, the question this week is: can Wakefield pick up their first win of the season against an injury stricken Hull KR side.

On the matter, speaking on the Last Tackle podcast, Paul Sculthorpe said:

“Back at home and they’ll take a lot of positives out of that game against Salford. It was only a one point golden point loss.

“They’ve had a couple of blowout loss but some games have been really tight and they’ll take a lot of positives from that, I hope Mark Applegarth gets his first win of the season but it won’t be easy against Hull KR.”

Meanwhile, Eorl Crabtree is backing Wakefield for the upset win: “Straight off the bat I’m thinking Wakefield at home, I’m taking them. I think it’s a good opportunity for them.

“This is one of those games where they need to get themselves up for. They were unlucky last week, a cruel way to lose against Salford but I think on this occasion this could be the first win in the season.

“Hull KR should beat them and could beat them but I think Wakefield are really going to step up.”
